How can we start a Society Chapter in our area?

Society Chapters are an increasingly important part of the Real Estate CyberSpace Society's world community. The "Society Chapters" Section http://www.REcyber.com/societychapters/index.html features the areas where Society Chapters have been chartered along with the Charter Chairman's name and other contact information, so that real estate professionals in the Chartered area can easily join through the Chapter and get into the "Chapter Loop".

We have kept the Chapter system simple, leaving the issues of meeting schedules and content, Committees, finances, etc up to the local Chairman and the Chapter leadership. Naturally we will be happy to bring the Society's Cyber Seminars in at the Chapter's request as a Chapter Member service and member recruitment event.

We provide funding in the form of revenue sharing to the Chapter for all new members applying for membership on Local Chapter application forms. Beyond that the local Chapters are fiscally autonomous. The Society assumes no responsibility or liability for the actions of the Chapter and/or it's leaders or members.

We are confident that members in Chapter areas will benefit from the new synergy that is created from the Society's rapid growth and exposure-- and the camaraderie, public relations value, networking and business building nature of each Society Chapter!

If there is not yet a Chapter in your area, let's start a Chapter there! We are excited with the prospects of welcoming each new Charter Chapter Chairman and will be happy to proceed with the simple logistics of setting up a Society Chapter in your area. You will be joining with a wonderful group of pioneer Charter Chairmen.

If there is already a Chapter in my area how can I get involved?

There is no better way to learn and network than to become involved in a local Society Chapter. As a young and growing organization, there are lots of opportunities to become involved. We know that you can be a big help and will enjoy the wonderful synergies and sense of community that has been such a powerful influence on our business and personal lives as a result of our involvement with the Society. We suggest that you go to the Directory of Society Chapters to get the name and contact information for the Chairman or Vice Chairman in your area --and let them know that you want to help out. We know that they will be pleased with all of the talent you can bring to the Society Chapter!

As with all Society tools, the Society provides the Chapter Member E-Communicator to Society members without cost. The Society will continually update the functionality of the Chapter E-Communicator and keep Society members informed as updates are implemented. As with all Society tools and services we welcome your suggestions.

How To Use The Chapter Member E-Communicator

To send an e-mail to all of the Society members in your Chapter (or Chapters), go to your Chapter web site:
1. http://www.recyber.com/societychapters/index.cfm
2. Select your Chapter
3. Click "Go to Chapter Web Site"
4. Toward the bottom of the main page you will see: "Society Chapter e-Communicator - Send an email to all chapter members."

Simply click and enter your Society ID # , enter your message and click "Send Email Now" and your communication to your fellow Chapter members will be in their In Box in seconds. It's as easy as that!
Remember that you may belong to up to five Society Chapters and may select these in your "Control Center" in the Society's Members Only Section at www.REcyber.com

Each message must have an appropriate subject line. Attachments cannot be sent using this tool.
The Chapter E-Communicator is only accessible to Society members in good standing - any attempt to use this service to promote the listings or services of non-members will result in automatic termination of this service to those who do not adhere to these guidelines.

Announcement of appropriate services of interest to real estate professionals on an occasional basis is allowed and may be used, if used in conformance with the rules promulgated by the Society which can be summarized as dictated by common sense and adherence to the golden rule.

We provide this tool as a member service and you may post notices, network, share listing update information and discuss local market information -- instantly. This tool is also ideal for sharing Cyberspace strategies, tools, tips, tricks, and ideas. You can let fellow Chapter members know of new discoveries. Share your thoughts regarding software and hardware. The Chapter eCommunicator allows you to draw on the collective wisdom of fellow Chapter members. Ask questions that you think others can help you with. Also share your success stories when Cyberspace tools or strategies have worked for you, especially when your experience may be helpful to other Chapter members.
